Description
CZ 455 and 457 rimfire rifles are popular with many competitive shooters particularly when fitted with a Match quality barrel. However this may lead to a problem when it comes to extracting a LIVE round from the chamber for whatever reason or when it is undesirable to fire it off. With nearly all match quality barrels the bullet is designed to engrave on to the rifling as an aid to accuracy. The downside being this may lead to a bullet remaining in the chamber after the bolt is cycled.
The Talon extractor and holder set is designed to over come this situation but please note the instructions carefully before installing as the C-clip included with the extractor and holder will probably make the bolt hard to cycle to start with and the recommendation is to use the factory C-clip to start with together with the extractor. After trying these parts you may find it necessary to fit the holder as well but please bear in mind the bolt should become easier to use after a period of time.
These parts are not for everybody but may be beneficial to top level shooters seeking ultimate reliability from the CZ 455/457 platform.
