Regular viewers of our website will no doubt have realised we have recently developed a fondness for the CZ 457 rimfire rifle. This is not without reason (several of them to be honest!) Out of the box they represent superb value for money but for the serious shooter they may be enhanced to provide even more improved accuracy with an evert increasing number of quality aftermarket parts and accessories on offer. We pride ourself on the Rimfire Magic semi automatic rifles we produce and we are delighted to announce the addition of a wide variety of standard and modified CZ 457 rifles. As you will appreciate with so many choices of stocks and chassis systems in particular not to mention increasing numbers of Match barrels it would be impossible for us to keep every combination available for immediate delivery. We do however try to have a number of completed rifles to hand but please feel free to contact us if you are interested in any CZ 457 you may see on our site and we will advise if there is one immediately available or alternatively if we have all the necessary parts available to assemble a rifle of your choosing.

The vast majority of gun parts and accessories are made in the USA leading to considerable difficulties with importing so it is particularly pleasing to announce the impending arrival of a top quality product actually manufactured in the UK and shown below is a new product we will be offering in the near future as we have our first batch on order at this time. The rifle shown here is one being currently tested by Roger (when he can find the time to go shooting!) but it has already shown considerable promise with regard to accuracy at 50 yards. It is fitted with a new Pete’s Pillars 22″ barrel and  Jard 3 – 6 ounce trigger and sits in the new UK made chassis currently fitted with a MDT buttstock. Prices for the chassis will be announced just as soon as we have received our first batch!

Main features CZ 457 series

The CZ 457 series offers exceptional user comfort due to the easy, fast and reliable bolt even with the riflescope attached. To ensure maximum safety, there is a positive safety on the right side of the receiver, a striker status indicator and a separate bolt extractor control. The accuracy has considerably improved with the use of a new adjustable trigger mechanism with a low trigger pull weight and excellent travel, a noticeably lighter striker and a new type of bedding. A literally revolutionary innovation is the extremely durable anti-corrosion surface finish of the metal parts this technology currently has no equal on the market. Several improvements are evident in the 457 series including the reduced bolt throw of just 60° for easier use with a scope fitted, positive safety, firing mechanism (cocking) indicator, lighter striker, a new adjustable trigger system, and a Match chamber on selected models.

CZ 457  .22LR MDT ACC Varmint  An outstanding and popular choice amongst PRS and other competition shooters is now offered straight from the factory. It shares the Match chamber used in other top models from the CZ 457 range of rifles for outstanding performance at longer ranges. This latest version has a 24.8″ barrel and it’s gratifying to see the CZ factory has taken notice of the often made comment that a longer than normal barrel is preferred by many shooters for certain disciplines to help give the correct balance when positional shooting from props eg in PRS shooting. A picatinny style scope base with 25moa inclination is fitted together with a large rubber ball as a bolt knob and a polymer 10 round magazine is also supplied. The MDT ACC chassis is recognised as one of the best systems for this style of shooting offering as it does a wide choice of adjustments for a perfect fit in the shoulder. The ACC Gen 1 system may be enhanced using many accessories including interior or exterior forend weights, buttstock weights, mirage mitigation bands etc …. £2,400

CZ 457  .22LR Woox Furiosa Varmint Match rifle. A rare opportunity to acquire a 24.8″ varmint heavy barrelled CZ 457 installed in a stunning example of the Italian Minelli company’s Woox Furiosa stock. As you would expect the CZ Match chamber is used in the barrel which is threaded 1/2 x 20 at the muzzle. A 25moa picatinny scope base is fitted. This high-tech hybrid stock combines wood sections over a full-length aerospace grade aluminum skeleton chassis, giving it the “feel” of a wood stock with the strength and stability of a metal stock.

The WOOX modular chassis is the secret sauce of their stocks, providing an exceptionally rigid platform. The proven improvements in both accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency proves the Furiosa to be a critical upgrade for serious hunters and shooters.  The gorgeously carved wood, anodised aluminium and micro-adjustable LOP and cheek riser are immediately adjustable without the use of any tools and all this combines to make a stock system which is not only extremely practical but also incredibly good looking too and it’s practicality regarding the ability to fit accessories is enhanced by the provision of numerous M-Lok compatible slots …. £2,600

The barrel uses CZ’s Match grade chamber for the ultimate in accuracy from a factory barrel. It sports a striking laminate stock in a style often favoured by precision and long range target shooters with stippled areas for extra grip …. £1,050

CZ 457 LRP (Long Range Precision Rifle) .22LR is designed as it’s name suggests with the long range rimfire shooter in mind. This striking model comes with a 20″  hammer forged, heavy, fluted varmint style barrel with CZs own proprietary Match chamber for ultimate accuracy and is threaded 1/2 x 20 UNF at the muzzle with a pre installed compensator. A picatinny rail is attached with 25moa inclination bult in. The synthetic stock may be adjusted for length of pull (LOP) or height of the cheek piece ….. £1,150

CZ 457 MTR .22lr with 20″ heavy blued barrel threaded 1/2 x 20 UNF in a striking Turkish walnut stock designed for the right handed shooter. This model is shown as having a Match chamber and the factory claims five shot groups of as little as 15mm (.59″) at 50 metres (54.68 yards) but as with any rimfire rifle you will need to try various types to see what shoots the best groups with YOUR individual rifle! …. £895

The CZ rifles above are examples of our semi-custom rimfires designed to  offer the serious Club level shooter a competitive rifle at a competitive price but if you are seeking something that little extra special …. how about this one? This rifle uses a standard factory CZ receiver fitted with a Lilja stainless steel 21″ heavy profile barrel (not threaded) installed in a MDT ACC chassis system which is recognised as one of the most popular chassis used in top level competition. It features multiple adjustments and is fitted with the MDT CZ extended mag latch and spacer kit may be improved by other added features if desired eg internal or external extra weights, bag rider, mirage mitigation hood etc.  NB!  Scope and bipod NOT included. We have test fired this rifle and achieved a seven shot group at 50 yards measuring just under one half an inch edge to edge and one quarter of an inch (centre to centre) suggesting considerable potential at other ranges with the appropriate ammunition …… £2,700

Whilst we lack the space to keep examples of all the available models in stock (we do try to keep the popular ones here) we can usually obtain your choice of rifle from the UK importer and carry out are pre tests including trigger adjustment within a matter of 3-4 days. All rifles are threaded 1/2 x 20 UNF at the muzzle unless otherwise stated and we prefer to pre adjust triggers to around 2.0 lbs for vermin shooting but can go lower for target shooting.
