Now available...our Rimfire Magic .22lr rifle

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new rifle. Based (not unsurprisingly!) on the Ruger 10/22 this .22LR semi automatic rifle features a receiver which is CNC machined from a solid block of aluminium including a Weaver style scope rail. The bolt assembly has also been CNC machined from steel alloy and subsequently hardened. This part has been designed to give a consistent headspace measurement of 0.046" and has a pin inserted to limit the amount of upward movement of the firing pin. Both these improvements are intended to aid reliability. The first batch of receivers has been finished with a choice of black or silver Duracoat.

Naturally we will be adding these new parts as an option on our "10/22 build list" page, but we have an introductory offer for the first 25 rifles. In our haste to have the rifle available we forgot to have our Rimfire Magic logo engraved on the receivers! So we now have several rifles available as shown in the photo above.

Our new receiver and bolt assembly has been fitted with a 16" factory barrel which has been threaded, a factory triggerguard assembly fully tuned and including extended mag release and automatic bolt release, all fitted in a Hogue stock (black or green) for just £450

New opening hours...

Many thanks to those of you who have contacted us to say that they understand our recent changes to our opening hours for the retail shop, which is now open from Thursday to Saturday. The good news is that the new system does appear to be working for us here! The extra day available for us in the workshop has paid dividends, allowing us to catch up (a bit at least) with the backlog of orders for our rifles. This has helped relieve a bit of the pressure we are under all the time! Your patience is much appreciated by us all. We have realised that not all pages on our site have been updated with this information, which we will attend to when we have a spare minute or two!

Imports

.Unfortunately things are not improving on this front, with the US State Department now banning the export of high capacity barrels and also threaded barrels! On the plus side we have now received a large shipment of Volquartsen Custom parts which has taken four months to get here!

Exports

Following a routine visit from the DTI Export Compliance Unit a few months ago we were notified that we had breached our dealer to dealer EU export licence. This was followed by a visit from HMRC who advised us that, whilst they realised that it was a genuine misunderstanding.....any repeat event would be dealt with severely and it would constitute a criminal offence! For this reason and to avoid any future unwitting breaches of the law, please be aware that we will no longer export ANY items outside the UK!!!

Remington 700 rifles

Some welcome good news for a change.... Our semi-custom Remington 700's are now selling very well for us, both as target and pest control rifles. Our modified barrelled actions can be fitted to a choice of aftermarket stocks as well as their factory ones, with Wild Dog stocks and the Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) proving particularly popular.

We are now starting to chamber and fit barrels onsite starting with .223, .308 and 6.5x47 with more reamers on order. Also in the pipeline is the purchase of the equipment necessary to offer metal finishing on barrels and actions. Many phone calls and e-mails ask for detachable magazines for the Rem 700 so this is a good time to let you know that these should be available from us by the end of May. The system will accept AI mags and we will offer them to take .223 and .308 cartridges plus hopefully similar sizes!

A further shipment of these popular ambidextrous 10/22 thumbhole stocks is now here. We have Bahama Blue, Shady Camo, Desert Camo, Forest Camo and of course the popular Nutmeg (brown) and Pepper (grey) laminate varieties.

Marlin firing pins
The two piece factory design is prone to breakage, but we have one piece stainless steel replacements in stock at £20.00 which is barely more than the cost of replacing the factory parts! This fits the pistol calibre Marlins but not the rimfire ones.
